PEGUNUNGAN BINTANG – The usually silent mountains felt a little more alive as brown-uniformed officers walked along the narrow footpaths of Yunabol Village, Oksibil District, Pegunungan Bintang Regency, on Wednesday (4/2/2026). It was not an enforcement operation, but warm greetings, friendly conversations, and health messages delivered directly to residents.

Personnel from Ops Damai Cartenz 2026, led by Ipda Ranto Achmad Chamdani, SKM, carried out a dialogic patrol combined with a community health awareness outreach as part of Polri’s human-centered approach in Papua’s mountainous region. They visited homes, spoke directly with villagers, and shared simple education about the importance of maintaining good health amid limited access to medical services.

In an area marked by challenging terrain and scarce healthcare facilities, health concerns are a constant worry for residents. The presence of task force personnel using a persuasive and friendly approach serves as a bridge to build a sense of security while raising awareness about healthy living. This approach also carries a message of togetherness — that Papua is all of us, a place that must be cared for and protected collectively.

Head of Ops Damai Cartenz 2026, Brig. Gen. Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, emphasized that activities like this reflect another side of Polri’s presence in Papua.

“We want the community to feel that the presence of security personnel is not only about law enforcement, but also about care. Through dialogic patrols and health outreach, we build closeness while helping residents maintain their quality of life. Papua is our shared home — let us care for and protect it together,” said Brig. Gen. Faizal Ramadhani.

In line with that message, Deputy Head of Ops Damai Cartenz 2026, Sr. Comr. Pol. Adarma Sinaga, stated that direct communication is key to creating a conducive environment.

“When our officers sit down, talk, and listen directly to residents’ concerns, that’s where trust grows. From that trust, security stability will be maintained naturally. The spirit is simple — we take care of each other,” said Sr. Comr. Adarma Sinaga.

The response from the people of Yunabol Village was warm. Residents welcomed the activity, saying they felt cared for and gained useful knowledge to support their families’ health.

The activity ran safely and in a spirit of togetherness. For the people of Yunabol, it was more than just a patrol — it was a moment when the state was present through a more human touch, reflecting Ops Damai Cartenz 2026 working with sincerity and compassion. Papua remains peaceful, safeguarded together, one village at a time.
