Enarotali – Efforts to establish security stability in Paniai Regency, Central Papua, continue with an inclusive approach. Personnel from the Paniai Sector Mobile Brigade (Brimob) under the auspices of Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 returned to the field, targeting Aikai Village to monitor the area and interact directly with the local community.
This step goes beyond ordinary security patrols. Security forces prioritize open dialogue with traditional leaders, community leaders, and youth. During the meeting, Brimob personnel invited residents to become active partners in maintaining public order (Kamtibmas), emphasizing that security is a shared responsibility built on mutual trust.
The Head of Operation Peace Cartenz, Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., explained that this operation envisions a paradigm shift in security. According to him, preemptive and preventive measures are now at the forefront.
“Our presence is not just to provide physical security, but also to build synergy. We want the community to feel the presence of a protective state, in order to realize a prosperous and peaceful Papua,” said Brigadier General Faizal.
Echoing this sentiment, Paniai Sector Commander, First Inspector Ari Wiyono, added that this humane visit strategy is crucial for closing the gap between officers and residents.
“Public trust is key. With a humane approach, we want to strengthen emotional bonds so that a conducive situation can be maintained,” he explained.
A positive response has also come from Aikai residents, who feel that the friendly presence of officers has made their activities calmer and hope that this intensive communication will continue.
