INTAN JAYA, Papua, Indonesia — Efforts to strengthen ties between security forces and local communities continue in Intan Jaya Regency, Papua, as personnel of Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 carry out patrols emphasizing a humane and people-centered approach.
Through these patrols, DPP Briptu Bagas Al-Bayyinah A.S. was seen engaging directly with residents, reflecting a model of policing that prioritizes human values alongside security duties. The initiative aims not only to maintain public order but also to foster mutual trust through open communication and personal interaction.
Beyond ensuring security, Briptu Bagas actively interacted with community members through dialogue and friendly greetings. This approach allowed residents to express their concerns while receiving public safety messages, reinforcing a sense of reassurance and cooperation between law enforcement and the community.
The Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that sustainable peace in Papua cannot be separated from the humane conduct of security personnel in the field.
“Peace is not maintained solely through security operations, but also through the presence of personnel who can embrace communities with a humane attitude, respect local wisdom, and build trust. Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 is here to ensure that people feel safe and protected,” Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani said.
Local residents acknowledged the positive impact of the initiative. A resident of Intan Jaya, identified by the initial A, stated that the interactions with Operation Peace Cartenz personnel have brought a sense of calm and reassurance to the community.
“We feel more at ease because police officers frequently come to greet and talk with the community. They do more than patrol; they genuinely care about our situation. This makes us feel noticed and valued,” the resident said.
Throughout the humane patrol activities, security conditions in Intan Jaya remained safe and conducive. The initiative highlights the Indonesian National Police’s continued commitment to maintaining peace in Papua while fostering harmonious and respectful relationships with local communities.
