MIMIKA — In an effort to maintain harmony and peace in Central Papua, the Enforcement Task Force of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026 carried out a community service activity by cleaning An-Nur Mosque Mile 32 in Kuala Kencana, Mimika Regency, on Friday, January 23, 2026. This activity reflects the commitment of the Indonesian National Police to fostering tolerance and strengthening interfaith relations within the community.
Personnel of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026 worked hand in hand with mosque administrators and local residents to clean the mosque area. The activity also served as a platform for dialogue and social outreach, strengthening communication between security forces and the community in order to create a safe and peaceful environment.
The Head of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026, Brigjen Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., stated that a humanist approach is the main foundation in the implementation of operations in Papua.
“Operation Damai Cartenz 2026 prioritizes humanitarian values and tolerance. By being present at places of worship, the Police aim to demonstrate that peace is built collectively through mutual respect and care for the environment and social life of the community,” Brigjen Pol. Faizal Ramadhani explained.
The Head of the An-Nur Mosque Management Board at Mile 32, Ustaz Ahmad Yoman, expressed his appreciation for the concern shown by the Operation Damai Cartenz 2026 Task Force. He assessed that the activity had a positive impact on worshippers and the surrounding community.
“We see the police present with good intentions and great respect. This activity makes the congregation feel safe and appreciated. Operation Damai Cartenz truly brings the spirit of peace and togetherness,” Ustaz Ahmad Yoman said.
The mosque cleaning activity ran safely and smoothly and received positive responses from the community. Through this socio-religious initiative, Operation Damai Cartenz 2026 continues to reaffirm its commitment to maintaining Papua as a safe, peaceful, and harmonious region by prioritizing a humanist approach and community-oriented service.
