Wamena – The Vice Governor of Pegunungan Papua, Ones Pahabol, invited all the people in the eight regencies of the Pegunungan Papua region to jointly maintain the security and public order situation in early 2026. The invitation was conveyed as part of an effort to create conducive conditions to support the acceleration of development in the area.
Ones Pahabol conveyed his hope when he was in Wamena. He believes that the people of Pegunungan Papua have a common awareness and responsibility to maintain security stability for the future of regional development.
“We believe that as God-fearing children in the eight districts of Papua Pegunungan will definitely be able to maintain the security situation in early January 2026,” said Ones Pahabol.
According to him, public security and order are the main factors in creating a sustainable development climate. Therefore, he emphasized the importance of putting forward the values of togetherness, tolerance, and interfaith harmony in daily life.
Ones Pahabol emphasized that tolerance and harmony are a strong foundation in maintaining harmonious social relations in the midst of the diversity of the mountainous Papuan people.
“Tolerance, interfaith harmony, and togetherness are the basis for maintaining good relations and creating peace in the eight districts, because Christ is in each of our lives,” he added.
Furthermore, Deputy Governor Ones explained that early January 2026 became an important momentum as a foundation to re-knit togetherness and love among citizens. He hopes that the momentum can be used as an entrance to realize the acceleration of development in the entire mountainous region of Papua.
“Let’s make the beginning of January 2026 as the entrance to peace in the Mountainous Papua region by increasing togetherness and worship, so that we can better control the entire development process in eight districts,” he concluded.
Through the invitation, the Papua Pegunungan Provincial Government hopes that the active participation of all elements of the community in maintaining security and order can continue to be maintained, so that development in various sectors can run smoothly and provide real benefits for the welfare of the community.
