Yahukimo — The Peace Cartenz Task Force together with the Yahukimo Police successfully arrested Iron Heluka, identified as a member of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) calling themselves Kodap XVI Yahukimo, Sisibia Battalion, on Friday (28 November 2025). The suspect was apprehended while burning a fried-food stall at the Ruko Block C area, Dekai District, Yahukimo Regency.
Based on the investigation, Iron Heluka has been part of the KKB Kodap XVI Yahukimo, Sisibia Battalion since May 2025, with the group consisting of around 15 members and possessing five homemade long-barrel firearms.
The arrest began around 03:15 WIT when the Yahukimo Police received a report about a disturbance in Pemukiman Jalur 1, right in front of Pangkalan 88. When personnel arrived at the scene, they found three individuals burning a fried-food stall and immediately stopped the act. Two suspects fled, while one was captured and later identified as Iron Heluka. He was then taken to the Yahukimo Police for further questioning.
In addition, in-depth investigation revealed that Iron Heluka was also involved in several major criminal acts, including being one of the main perpetrators in the burning of the Yahukimo Samsat Office on 12 September 2025, along with two associates—JP and RS—who are also members of KKB Kodap XVI Yahukimo.
Furthermore, Iron Heluka also acted as the lookout behind the vehicle during the murder of Bahar bin Saleh. After the incident, he immediately fled from the scene.

Currently, Iron Heluka is being held in the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Yahukimo Police for further investigation related to his involvement in the KKB network and a series of criminal acts that occurred in the Yahukimo area.
Responding to the arrest, the Head of Peace Cartenz Operations, Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., expressed his appreciation for the swift actions of personnel on the ground.
“The arrest of Iron Heluka is an important step in breaking the chain of KKB violence in Yahukimo. The state is present and will not allow the public to become victims of terror and criminal acts of armed groups,” emphasized Brigjen Pol Faizal.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Head of Peace Cartenz Operations, Commissioner Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., added that strong coordination between the Task Force and the Yahukimo Police was key to the success of the operation.
“As soon as the disturbance report was received, personnel moved quickly and managed to secure a suspect who turned out to have a serious criminal record. This is proof that our forces remain alert and responsive to potential threats,” said Commissioner Adarma Sinaga.
He also urged the public to continue reporting any suspicious activity to maintain collective security.
