Depapre Community Leader Urges Papuans Not to Be Misled by KKB Hoaxes and Propaganda

Jayapura — A community leader from Depapre, Jayapura Regency, Papua, Niko Domotow, has urged the people of Papua not to be influenced by propaganda and false information (hoaxes) spread by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB).
He said that the KKB continues to spread lies and incitement on social media to divide the people and create unrest among the community.
“I want to emphasize to all Papuans — do not believe false news or misleading calls from the KKB. Let us stand together to maintain peace and security in our beloved Papua,”
said Niko Domotow in Jayapura, Monday (September 23, 2025).
According to him, the massive spread of fake information can trigger division, fuel hatred, and hinder regional development.
“Hoaxes are weapons used to weaken our unity. Therefore, people must be smart in filtering information and not easily provoked,” he stressed.
He also called on the public to support security forces in maintaining peace and stability in Papua.
“The community must stand together with the TNI and Police to protect this land from efforts that threaten peace,” he said.
Niko emphasized that the true struggle of the Papuan people is to maintain security, work hard, and contribute to regional progress not to follow those who spread hatred.
“If we allow these negative influences to persist, it is we who will suffer. Papua must advance through peace, not through conflict,” he said.
He concluded his message with a prayer for unity and strength among Papuans.
“May Lord Jesus bless us all and keep the Land of Papua in peace,”
Niko concluded.
