Central Papua Province Prepares New Governor and DPRD Office Infrastructure

The Central Papua Provincial Government is currently preparing to build offices for the governor, the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), and the People’s Representatives Council (MRP) as a strategic step to strengthen governance structures and public services in the region.

The Governor of Central Papua, Meksi Printa Mawardi, emphasized that this development is part of efforts to establish a solid foundation for governance so that the region can experience significant progress over the next five years. He added that the main focus is on improving human resources quality and enhancing synergy among government institutions and local communities.

During a coordination meeting attended by various stakeholders, Nawipa, a relevant official, stated that this activity is an important moment to unify visions and missions for the development of Central Papua. He highlighted the importance of cross-sector collaboration and synergy between the central government, provincial, and district authorities to accelerate development in the area.

Meanwhile, the Head of the National Unity and Politics Agency of Central Papua, Albertus Adi, mentioned that the activity is fully supported by the Directorate General of Politics and General Governance, the Ministry of Home Affairs. He expressed that this effort is a concrete step to strengthen coordination and synergy among different levels of government to expedite development and improve community welfare in Central Papua.

Furthermore, the main focus of the Central Papua government currently is on human resource development through improving education quality and healthcare services, as well as building infrastructure that connects Nabire, the provincial capital, with all districts in the region.
