JAYAPURA, October 25, 2025 — Vice Chairman II of the Papuan People’s Assembly (MRP) from the Indigenous Working Group, Max Abner Ohe, appealed to all people in Papua Province to maintain security and order in Papua and not be provoked by issues that can divide unity.

In his statement, Max Abner Ohe who also serves as the Chairman of the Red and White Front of the Republic of Indonesia, emphasized the importance of the role of all elements of society in creating a safe, peaceful, and conducive situation.

He highlighted that there are certain groups that try to take advantage of the situation by spreading issues to mobilize large-scale demonstrations in Papua.

“I appeal to all Papuan people, both traditional figures, religious figures, community leaders, and all citizens not to be provoked by parties who want to disturb order. Let’s take care of Papua as a common home,” said Max Abner Ohe.

He emphasized, his party rejects all forms of demonstrations that can disrupt security stability in the Papua region. According to him, every problem should be solved through legal channels and wise deliberation.

Responding to the case of burning cultural attributes that happened some time ago, Max Abner Ohe said that the Papuan People’s Assembly had followed up on the case by coordinating with the Papua Provincial Government.

“We have handled this case with the local government. The settlement process will be carried out fairly, wisely, and in accordance with applicable laws. The parties involved will definitely receive sanctions according to the provisions,” he said.

Closing his statement, he invited the entire community to strengthen the brotherhood and still rely on God in maintaining peace in Papua.

“Let’s keep Papua peaceful and united. God bless us all. Shalom,” he concluded.
