Paniai, Central Papua – As part of ongoing efforts to maintain security and stability in coastal areas and strategic water transportation routes, the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force conducted a community-oriented patrol at Aikai Port, Paniai Regency, on Sunday (August 10, 2025).
Led by Field Commander IPDA Nofri Surya Rossa, the routine patrol aimed to ensure public safety and promote a secure and orderly environment around the port area.
During the operation, personnel engaged directly with local residents, including women and children, delivering public safety messages and fostering open communication. The approach emphasized building trust and cooperation between security forces and the community.
The Head of the Cartenz Peace Operation, Brig. Gen. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., praised the efforts of the Paniai sector team, highlighting their professional and humane approach to maintaining public order.
“We commend the team in Paniai for their proactive and compassionate engagement. Although we are not always physically present in the field, we closely monitor and support these initiatives to strengthen public trust and partnership,” he said.
Meanwhile, Chief of Public Relations for the Cartenz Peace Operation, Police Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., emphasized the importance of fostering strong community relations in every aspect of their mission.
“Our presence is not only about maintaining security but also about serving as close partners to the people. Dialogue and empathy are essential to ensuring a peaceful and stable environment,” he stated.
The Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force plans to continue these patrols regularly as a preventive measure against potential security threats and to reinforce the government’s presence in Papua through community engagement.
