Kiwirok, Bintang Mountains — In order to strengthen harmony with the community and support the welfare of residents in the mountainous region, personnel from the Cartenz Peaceful Operation Task Force conducted a visit to Apom Village, Kiwirok District, Bintang Mountains Regency, on Friday (August 1, 2025).
This activity was led directly by IPDA Munawar and involved 12 personnel from the Cartenz Peaceful Operation Task Force along with 4 officers from Kiwirok Police Sector. During the visit, the team handed over plant seed assistance to the community and stationery for school children in Apom Village.
The aid was received directly by the Village Head, Mr. Selkius Yamhim, who expressed appreciation for the concern and attention shown by security apparatus towards the community and the youth in this relatively remote area.
The activity took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Besides distributing aid, the personnel also took the time to engage in dialogue with residents to hear their aspirations and needs firsthand.
The Commander of the Cartenz Peaceful Operation, Brigadier General Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., accompanied by the Deputy Commander, Kombes Pol. Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., stated that this activity is a tangible form of a humanist approach and an effort to build lasting peace in the mountainous region.
“This kind of outreach becomes an important foundation in creating strong relationships between security personnel and the community. Besides maintaining security, the Cartenz Peaceful Operation Task Force is also committed to providing direct benefits to residents, including agricultural assistance and supporting children’s education in the remote areas of Papua,” Brigadier General Faizal said.
Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the Cartenz Peaceful Operation, Kombes Pol. Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., emphasized that activities like this not only provide direct benefits but also serve as a moral message that security forces are partners to the community, not figures to be feared. Social approaches and dialogue with residents are the primary strategies of the Task Force in creating a safe and conducive situation in the Papua Mountains.
“We are committed to building open, honest, and friendly communication with the community. The Papuan people are part of us, and through activities like this, we want to instill values of mutual trust and collaboration,” said Kombes Yusuf.
Through ongoing humanitarian activities, the Cartenz Peaceful Operation Task Force hopes to strengthen social bonds, support local development, and create a solid space for peace in the Land of Papua.
