Wamena, Highland Papua — A warm and heartfelt atmosphere accompanied the humanitarian patrol conducted by the Damai Cartenz Task Force in Walesi District, Jayawijaya Regency, on Monday (June 30, 2025) at 2:00 PM local time.

Led directly by First Inspector Muhammad Krisna Dirgantara, the patrol was not only focused on regional security, but also emphasized social interaction through a humane approach. Task force personnel mingled with residents, handed out Indonesian flags, invited children to sing and play, and created a joyful and friendly environment.

Chief of Damai Cartenz Operations, Police Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., who was present alongside Deputy Chief of Operations, Police Commissioner Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., stressed the importance of a humanitarian approach in every mission carried out.

“We are here not just as law enforcement officers, but as friends of the community. Our main mission is to preserve peace while building harmonious and trusting relationships with the people of Papua,” said Brig. Gen. Faizal.

The event also included free healthcare services for the community, offering basic health checkups and initial treatment for children and other residents in need — a tangible reflection of the state’s presence in serving its citizens directly.

Head of the Public Relations Task Force for Damai Cartenz Operations, Police Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., emphasized that this activity represents the real transformation of police services in Papua.

“This initiative reflects how the Indonesian National Police, especially through Operation Damai Cartenz, continues to present a humanized image — one that touches hearts and is actively present in every aspect of community life,” stated Commissioner Yusuf.

He further added that each interaction conducted by officers in the field helps build trust and instill values of brotherhood.

“We want the people of Papua to feel that the police are here not just to enforce the law, but to serve as protectors, guardians, and compassionate public servants,” he added.

Through this activity, the Damai Cartenz Task Force continues to strengthen its commitment to fostering regional stability while promoting unity and peace throughout Papua.
