Puncak Jaya – Demonstrating care and concern for the local community in Papua, particularly for children, the personnel of Ops Peace Cartenz-2025 held a community engagement activity at the Kulirik Post, Muara District, Puncak Jaya Regency, Central Papua, on Tuesday (May 27, 2025) at 12:30 PM WIT. Bripda Nelwan Nono, along with fellow personnel, conducted a snack-sharing event and interacted directly with school children and local residents.
The activity was met with great enthusiasm by the children in attendance. They appeared cheerful and excited as they received snacks from the personnel, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere amidst their daily routines.
The Head of Ops Peace Cartenz, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., accompanied by Deputy Head of Ops Peace Cartenz, Police Commissioner Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., stated that social activities like this are part of the routine efforts carried out by Ops Peace Cartenz-2025 to foster harmony in Papua.
“Activities like this are regularly conducted as a tangible form of Ops Peace Cartenz-2025’s commitment to the community. We hope that through initiatives like this, stronger and more harmonious relationships can be built between the people of Papua and the personnel, contributing to a safe, peaceful, and conducive environment in Puncak Jaya and Papua as a whole,” explained Brig. Gen. Faizal.
Echoing this sentiment, the Head of the Public Relations Task Force for Ops Peace Cartenz-2025, Police Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., explained that the event reflects the personnel’s concern and compassion for children in the region.
“The goal of this activity is to motivate children to keep their spirits high in learning, to bring them renewed enthusiasm, and to strengthen the bond between our personnel and the local community around Kulirik,” said Police Commissioner Yusuf.
It is hoped that activities like this will further encourage the children’s eagerness to learn, while also fostering a warm and close-knit relationship between security forces and the people of Papua.
