Mimika, Central Papua — A prominent community leader in Mimika Regency, Arnold, who also serves as the Secretary of the Early Awareness Forum (FKDM), has called on all Papuan residents, especially those in Mimika Regency, to work together in maintaining security stability and supporting development and law enforcement efforts in Papua.
In his statement, Arnold emphasized the crucial role of the public in creating a safe and conducive environment. He urged citizens not to be easily provoked by misleading issues or hoaxes that could spark unrest and social division.
“I urge all Papuans, especially those in Mimika Regency, to maintain order and peace. Do not easily believe information whose truth is uncertain. Let us keep Papua safe and peaceful,” Arnold said on Wednesday (May 21).
In addition to calling for security, Arnold also stressed the importance of supporting development programs currently being promoted by the government in the Papua region.
“We encourage the public to support the ongoing development efforts. This is for the advancement of Papua so that the benefits of development can truly be felt by all citizens,” he emphasized.
Furthermore, Arnold expressed strong support for the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force 2025 in carrying out law enforcement, particularly against Armed Criminal Groups (KKB) and Political Criminal Groups (KKP) that often disturb the community.
“We fully support the law enforcement efforts by the security forces, especially the Cartenz Peace Task Force 2025. Firm actions against armed groups and those seeking to disrupt political stability must continue for the sake of our shared security,” he stated.
Arnold concluded his statement with a hope that all elements of society will unite to maintain peace and assist the government in building a better, safer, and more prosperous Papua.
