Timika – The Papua Central Regional House of Representatives (DPR Papua Tengah) has called on all stakeholders and the public to support six priority development programs aimed at accelerating progress and improving the welfare of the region’s residents.

In a statement issued on Friday (May 9, 2025), DPR Papua Tengah Chairman Delius Tabuni emphasized the importance of collaboration to ensure the programs’ success. “Without collective support and unity, achieving optimal development outcomes will be impossible,” Delius stated in Timika.

The Papua Central DPR has committed to fulfilling its legislative, budgeting, and oversight roles to ensure the successful implementation of these six flagship programs. The programs include improving the quality of education, reforming bureaucracy, enhancing healthcare services, optimizing financial management, promoting equitable law enforcement, and increasing community participation in regional development.

As a newly established autonomous region (DOB), Papua Central faces significant challenges in its early stages of development. According to Delius, cross-sector collaboration is essential for the programs to deliver tangible benefits to the people of Papua Central.

In addition to the DPR, all segments of society, local government agencies (OPD), and other stakeholders are expected to play an active role in supporting these initiatives.

The six programs will be carried out across Papua Central with close supervision from the DPR and regional government.

These programs have been designated as top priorities since being approved for the 2025–2030 development period.

Delius underscored that effective coordination between government institutions and the public is critical. “Let us unite our hearts and goals to build Papua Central together,” he concluded.
