Jayapura – The Public Relations Task Force of Operation Peace Cartenz-2025 demonstrated its humanistic approach by visiting residents in Hamadi Fishermen’s Village, South Jayapura District, Jayapura City, Papua, on Monday (5/5/2025). In addition to building rapport, the presence of the security personnel was also marked by the distribution of basic food packages as a form of care.
The activity, led by Public Relations Task Force Officers Iptu I Gde Pradana S. S.Ds. and Ipda Syahrir Mahyuddin, S.H., was enthusiastically welcomed by the local community. From children to adults, they were seen interacting warmly with the Task Force personnel along Jalan Perikanan, Hamadi Village.
Behind this social activity, there was an important message regarding community security and order (kamtibmas). The Head of Operation Peace Cartenz-2025, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., accompanied by the Deputy Head of Operation, Senior Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., explained that this visit is part of early prevention efforts against potential security disturbances.
“We want the community to remain vigilant and not be easily provoked by parties who want to disturb security stability,” asserted Brigadier General of Police Faizal. He also emphasized that this activity aims to counter the influence of political criminal groups that try to incite the public to commit unlawful acts.
In line with this, the Head of the Public Relations Task Force for Operation Peace Cartenz-2025, Senior Commissioner of Police Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., urged all levels of society, especially the residents of Hamadi Village, to be proactive in maintaining the kamtibmas situation. “Community support is key in creating a conducive environment,” said Senior Commissioner Yusuf.
He added that strong synergy between security forces and the community is very important to realize a safe, peaceful, and prosperous Papua.
Through this visit and the distribution of basic food packages, the Public Relations Task Force of Operation Peace Cartenz-2025 hopes to strengthen good relations with the community and demonstrate that a persuasive and humanistic approach is an effective way to build a sense of security and togetherness in Papua.
