Jayapura – The Head of Public Relations for Ops Damai Cartenz-2025, Police Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., has partnered with prominent Papua figures to foster a safe and orderly society. This initiative was carried out through an iftar gathering, serving as both a means of strengthening ties and discussing the strategic role of Papua’s leaders in maintaining a peaceful and secure environment.
The event took place on Monday, March 17, 2025, in Kota Raja, Jayapura City.
During the occasion, the Deputy Chairman II of the Papuan People’s Assembly (MRP) and Chairman of the Red and White Front of the Republic of Indonesia (BMP-RI-Papua) for Papua Province, Max Abner Ohee, expressed his support for the Ops Damai Cartenz-2025 Task Force. He emphasized the importance of law enforcement against Armed Criminal Groups (KKB) to ensure security stability in Papua.
As a prominent Papua figure, Max Abner Ohee also commended the Ops Damai Cartenz-2025 Task Force for uncovering cases of cross-provincial firearm and ammunition smuggling, which were allegedly intended for KKB Papua. He regarded this effort as a tangible step toward safeguarding the security of the Papua region.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of Pemuda Mandala Trikora of Papua Province and Secretary General of BMP-RI-Papua, Ali Kabiay, also extended his support. He stated his hope that the Ops Damai Cartenz-2025 Task Force would continue its good work and receive full backing from both the public and Papua’s leaders. He highlighted that cooperation between security forces and the community is the key to establishing a peaceful and stable situation in Papua.
Separately, the Head of Ops Damai Cartenz 2025, Police Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., stated that this gathering aimed to strengthen synergy between the Ops Damai Cartenz 2025 Task Force and Papua’s leaders in ensuring security and public order in the Papua region.
“With synergy between security forces and Papua’s leaders, we hope that stability in Bumi Cenderawasih will continue to be maintained,” said Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani.
