Timika – Harmony between security forces and the community is crucial for building a peaceful and prosperous region. To strengthen this unity, the Deputy Head of Public Relations Task Force of Operation Damai Cartenz 2025, Compol Yusuf Tauziri, S.I.K, met with Mimika’s community leader, Dr. Jeffrey C. Hutagalung, MPhil, on Monday (March 10).
During the cordial meeting, Compol Yusuf emphasized the importance of continuous communication between the authorities and the community. “We aim to establish a good relationship with community leaders so that we can work together to create a conducive environment,” he stated.
The Head of Public Relations Task Force of Operation Damai Cartenz, Kombes Police Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K, M.T, added that such a humanistic approach is essential for building trust. “A strong synergy between the police and the community will have a positive impact on social development and security in Central Papua,” he explained.
Dr. Jeffrey C. Hutagalung welcomed the meeting and emphasized the need to continue enhancing such cooperation. He stressed that open dialogue serves as a bridge between the community and authorities to create a peaceful and harmonious Central Papua.
This gathering is part of the police’s efforts to establish closer relationships with the community, aiming to foster unity in social life and security in Timika.
