Yalimo, Papua Highlands – A warm and solemn atmosphere filled GKI Pniel Church in Elelim District, Yalimo Regency, as the Banops Subsatgas Kesehatan Ops Damai Cartenz 2025 Task Force held a worship service with the local community.
This Sunday, February 9, the event was attended by First Police Inspector (Ipda) Dr. Budi Agustian, a doctor and member of the medical team, along with Brigadier Police Chief (Bripka) Heribertus A.B. Tena, S.Tr.AK., M.Si, a member of the Damai Cartenz Operation Task Force. Both officers shared a moment of worship with the local congregation, praying together for the safety of TNI-Polri personnel serving in Yalimo.
In an atmosphere of harmony and togetherness, the local community and members of the Ops Damai Cartenz Subsatgas Kesehatan Task Force prayed to God for Yalimo to be free from all forms of violence and to be blessed with peace.
“We sincerely hope that security and tranquility will always be with the people here. We also pray for all soldiers and officers on duty, that they may always be protected by God as they serve the nation and country,” said Ipda Dr. Budi Agustian.
This moment also highlighted the close relationship between the congregation and the police personnel. The familial atmosphere was a true reflection of the synergy between security forces and the community in creating a safe and peaceful environment in Papua.
On this occasion, the Deputy Operations Chief of Damai Cartenz 2025, Police Commissioner (Kombes Pol.) Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., expressed his appreciation for the event, recognizing it as part of a humanistic approach to maintaining security stability in Papua.
“We always emphasize that a humanistic approach and partnership with the community are key to creating a safe and conducive environment in Papua. This joint worship serves as real evidence that the police are not only present for law enforcement but also for fostering unity and peace among the people,” said Kombes Pol. Adarma Sinaga.
The congregation of GKI Pniel also warmly welcomed the presence of the police personnel in the worship service.
“We are happy and blessed by the presence of our brothers from the police who joined us in worship. May this togetherness help us all continue to maintain peace in Yalimo,” said one of the GKI Pniel congregants.*
