Puncak Jaya– Amidst the towering mountain landscape, the Ops Damai Cartenz 2025 Task Force Medical Team once again demonstrated its care by providing healthcare services to the people of Puncak Jaya Regency on Monday (3/2/2025).
The presence of the Ops Damai Cartenz 2025 Task Force Medical Team was not just about delivering medicine but also bringing hope to residents with limited access to medical services.
Head of Public Relations for Ops Damai Cartenz, Police Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., emphasized that the police force is not only responsible for maintaining security but is also committed to the welfare of the community.
“We want to ensure that the people not only live in a safe environment but also in good health. This is our way of showing care for our brothers and sisters in Papua,” said Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo.
Under the sunlight shining over the valleys and hills of Puncak Jaya, the Ops Damai Cartenz 2025 Task Force Medical Team swiftly provided health check-ups, wound treatments, and education on the importance of hygiene and a healthy lifestyle. The enthusiasm of the community was evident from the number of residents who came, some even walking long distances from remote villages to receive medical services.
For many residents, such healthcare services offer a breath of fresh air amid the limited medical facilities in the mountainous region.
“We are very happy and hope this program continues. It greatly helps us who live far from the city,” said one of the residents who benefited from the initiative.
This health program is part of the humanist approach of the Ops Damai Cartenz 2025 Task Force, which not only focuses on security but also on improving community welfare. The hope is that through activities like this, the relationship between the police and the community will grow stronger, fostering mutual trust and cooperation in maintaining peace in Papua.
