Papua- Elelim Airport in Yalimo Regency, Papua, witnessed a warm meeting between the local community and the Head of the Public Relations Task Force for the Cartenz Peace Operation, Senior Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, on Friday morning (24/1/2025).
The presence of Senior Commissioner Yusuf was greeted with enthusiasm by residents who did not hesitate to share smiles, creating an atmosphere full of familiarity and brotherhood.
In the meeting, Senior Commissioner Yusuf emphasized the Police’s commitment to providing protection and a sense of security to the Papuan people. He emphasized that the Cartenz Peace Operation was present as part of an effort to bring stability amidst the threat of armed criminal groups (KKB) which often cause unrest.
“The Cartenz Peace Operation is a real manifestation of the Police in creating a sense of security and peace for the Papuan people,” said Senior Commissioner Yusuf.
Not only that, warm interactions were also seen when local traders, including betel nut sellers, greeted Senior Commissioner Yusuf with their typical smiles. This moment illustrates the harmonious relationship between the security forces and the local community, while also emphasizing the importance of the presence of the Police who prioritize a humanist approach.
Through the Cartenz Peace Operation, the Police continue to strive to build public trust while creating a safe and peaceful environment.
