Mimika – Ahead of the Pilkada in November 2024, Mimika Regency Community Leader and as Chair of Yahamak (Anti-Violence Human Rights Foundation) Mr. Arnold Ronsumbre supports the Cartenz Peace Ops Task Force in securing the implementation of the Pilkada in 9 operational areas in Papua, Monday 24 June 2024.
Mr. Arnold Ronsumbre on his occasion said that the National Program, namely the 2024 Pilkada, could be held smoothly and successfully thanks to the cooperation of all parties.
“Let us fully support the Government and Security Forces, in this case the Cartenz Peace Ops Task Force, in providing security, so that the 2024 Regional Election Democratic Party can run smoothly, safely, peacefully and conducively,” said Mr. Arnold,” said Mr. Arnold,”
The presence of the Cartenz Peace Ops Task Force personnel in 9 operational areas in Papua plays a very active role in maintaining security and creating a conducive Kamtibmas situation.
“It cannot be denied that the Cartenz Peace Ops Task Force plays an important role in providing a sense of security for people in conflict-prone areas from security disturbances by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB),” he said
Apart from that, Mr. Arnold appealed to the Papuan people, especially in Mimika Regency, to support the holding of regional elections in November to elect leaders who can prosper and advance our region.
“Let’s abandon the past habit that the Pilkada is an opportunity to get something. “However, we are holding regional elections with the aim of building and maintaining a peaceful and prosperous Papua,” concluded Mr Arnold
