Jayapura – The Armed Criminal Group (KKB) has acted again, this time the Undius Kogoya KKB led by Lewis Kogoya and Enos Tipagau carried out their action by killing a civilian named Boki Ugipa, a resident of Engganengga Village.
Head of Public Relations of the Papua Regional Police, Commissioner Pol. Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo, S.H., S.I.K., M.Kom., when met in his office, confirmed the incident.
The Head of Public Relations said the incident started with information from a resident of Pogapa Village who reported the incident to members of the Intan Jaya Police, on Tuesday (14/05).
“Receiving this information, members of the Intan Jaya Police contacted the mediation team at the Pogapa Class Office to seek information regarding the incident,” said the Head of Public Relations, Thursday (16/05) afternoon.
After being traced, the victim Boki Ugipa was shot by KKB around the foot of Kualagi hill on Wednesday (01/05) at around 19.30 WIT.
“Hearing this information, on Thursday (02/05) at around 09.00 WIT, the victim’s family came to the crime scene and saw the body of the victim who was naked and having an affair (in a dead condition and there was a visible gunshot wound on the chest,” he said.
Then the victim’s family took Boki Ugipa’s body to Engganengga Village to be buried and on Friday (03/05) Boki Ugipa’s body was buried in Engganengga Village.
“Currently this case is being handled by the Intan Jaya Police Criminal Investigation Unit to determine the perpetrator’s motive for carrying out this heinous act,” he concluded.
