The Inpres Pogapa State Primary School (SD) building, Homeyo District, Intan Jaya Regency, was again burned down by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in the Homeyo area, on Wednesday, 01 May 2024, at around 08:00;Wit.
Previously, on Tuesday 30 April 2024, KKB carried out an attack on the Homeyo Police Headquarters which resulted in the death of 1 Toraja civilian, male Alexsander Parapak (20).
Head of the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Public Relations Task Force, AKBP Dr. Bayu Suseno, in his statement, said that the burning of the SD Inpres Pogapa building was carried out by the Homeyo area KKB and during this action the sound of a long-barreled firearm was also heard from the KKB group.
“We can convey that the location where the SD Negeri Inpres Pogapa building was burned is not far from the Homeyo Police Headquarters, only approximately 50 meters away, so currently the security forces are still on guard,” said Head of Public Relations Task Force AKBP Dr. Bayu Suseno.
Furthermore, the Head of the Public Relations Task Force said, based on reports from the public, it was known that the KKB in the Homeyo area, Intan Jaya carried out the attack on the Homeyo police headquarters on April 30 2024 and the burning of the Inpres Pogapa Elementary School building was carried out by the Keni Tipagau group from Kodap VIII Kemabu, led by Undius. Kogoya and Aibon Kogoya.
“We really hope for support from the community to participate in maintaining security and social order in the Homeyo district from the threat of the KKB, so that peace can be created among the community.
