
Jayapura- Police Commissioner Supriyagung, S.I.K., M.H, who is the LO (Liaison Officer) of the Papua Police, Central Papua Province, visited the Puncak Jaya Student Dormitory, Nabire Study City on Saturday, March 2 2024.
This activity was carried out in order to provide an appeal for Harkamtibmas (Public Security and Order) ahead of the plenary meeting for the recapitulation of the 2024 election results at the Central Papua Province KPU level which is scheduled to take place on Monday, March 4 to March 8 2024 in the RRI Office Hall, Nabire Regency.
Police Commissioner Supriyagung on this occasion, assured students that their parents in the village or Puncak Jaya had great hopes that their children could go to school or college to achieve a better future, a matter of pride for the family.
“Students should remain focused on education and not be influenced by bad invitations, such as joining demonstrations and the like, which could be detrimental to them,” he said.
He continued, Students are agents of change and are expected to become pioneers of the young generation of Central Papua for the progress of the province. With the province of Central Papua, it provides opportunities for students to have careers as employees. Therefore, enthusiasm for learning remains high so that students’ dreams can be achieved according to expectations.
Police Commissioner Supriyagung invited students to support the policies of the Central Papua provincial government, especially Acting. The governor is considered “mama” for Puncak Jaya students. Also, he emphasized the importance of maintaining collective security and order.
Referring to the elections that have just taken place, Police Commissioner Supriyagung informed that the Central Papua Province KPU will hold a Plenary Meeting for Recapitulation of Election Results on March 4-8 2024. The hope is that students can succeed in this agenda without being influenced by provocations or invitations that could disrupt the course of activities.
“We are very open to communicating with students if there are obstacles or aspirations that need to be resolved together with the Regency and Central Papua Province governments.” he said.
“The important role of students as the younger generation is in maintaining order, supporting regional development, and achieving education with a focus on a better future,” he concluded.
