Papua- Papua, as a land rich in culture and natural resources, has long been in the spotlight because of the conflict that continues to rage in the region. This conflict not only harms the economic growth and welfare of the Papuan people, but also has a negative impact on stability and security in the region.
The main cause of problems in Papua is the Armed Criminal Group which actively carries out acts of violence and threats against the government and civilians. Therefore, in order to achieve peace in Papua, law enforcement against the KKB is an important step that must be taken by the TNI-Polri.
The underlying reason for the resistance and legal rejection of the KKB is not only the responsibility of the TNI-Polri, but also involves active participation from all levels of society. In this context, the TNI-Polri have a very important role in ensuring that efforts to prevent KKB cannot take place without obstacles.
Firm and effective steps must be taken to address the threat posed by the KKB, including the arrest of members of the Armed Criminal Group itself, the confiscation of illegal weapons, and the restoration of security in the affected areas.
Apart from that, law enforcement efforts must of course be accompanied by an inclusive and sustainable approach to prevent various threats to the Papuan people. The government must work together with community leaders, traditional leaders and other elements of society to build dialogue and strengthen the values of diversity and unity in Papua.
On the other hand, apart from strict law enforcement, the TNI-Polri also invite Papuans to participate in maintaining conduciveness in their area. Peace and security are not just the responsibility of the TNI-Polri alone, but are also the collective responsibility of the entire community, especially the community living in Papua.
By actively participating in maintaining security and reporting suspicious activities, Papuans can play an important role in preventing the actions of these groups and the violence committed by them.
On the other hand, community empowerment is also an important key in efforts to create peace in Papua. Through education, training and sustainable economic development programs, the Papuan people can have sufficient skills and knowledge to create better conditions in their region. In this way, they can become active agents of change in building peace and security in Papua.
Law enforcement against the KKB and efforts to maintain conduciveness in Papua are not easy tasks, but are very important steps in creating sustainable peace in the area. By involving all related parties, including the TNI-Polri, regional government and the Papuan people themselves, it is hoped that Papua can become a safe, prosperous and peaceful area for all its citizens.
