Mimika- The Yahukimo Armed Criminal Group (KKB), carried out shooting at Nop Goliat Dekai Airport, Yahukimo Regency, Papua, on February 17 2024. The attack targeted the Wings Air IW 1646 ATR 700 PK WGT aircraft during the landing process.
The victim of this attack was Private Ongen R. Dori, a member of Kodim 1715 Yahukimo, who suffered abrasions on the left side of his neck due to glass fragments hit by a bullet.
Head of Cartenz-2024 Peace operations, Police Commissioner. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., stated that the plane was hit by gunfire on the left side, which penetrated the fuselage.
