Timika – YL and MM are members of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) led by Egianus Kogoya who were arrested for possession of firearms and ammunition at Camp Simal, Alguru Village, Kenyam District, Kab. Nduga based on Police Report number: LP/A/09/IV/2023/SPKT/POLRES NDUGA/POLDA PAPUA.
Head of Peace Operations Cartenz 2023 Kombes Pol Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S, Sos., S.I.K., M.H confirmed the handover of the suspects YL and MM.
“It is true that the suspects YL and MM along with the evidence were handed over by the personnel of the Cartenz Damai Cartenz Gakum Sub Task Force to the Jayawijaya State Prosecutor’s Office at 10:00 WIT on (04/08/2023) along with each case file this morning,” said Faizal.
Previously, it was known that the suspect was tasked with finding and collecting logistics, including firearms and ammunition, when he was arrested in Nduga Regency, Papua Mountains, last Wednesday (5/4/2023).
The evidence submitted was 1 (one) FERFRANS CAL MULTI long-barreled firearm Model S.O.A.R FF 0000065; (one) SPG1A Kal firearm. 40 mm BE. BT 002680 (Pindad); 1 (one) firearm; 10 (ten) cal 5.56 magazines; 1 (one) cal 7.62 magazine.
Apart from weapons, 311 (three hundred and eleven) rounds of sharp cal 5.56 mm ammunition were also handed over; 34 (thirty four) rounds of ammunition cal 7.62 x 39 mm; 4 (four) rounds of auto cal 3.2 mm ammunition; 17 (seventeen) rounds of cal 38 spc mm sharp ammunition; 13 (thirteen) rounds of taiam al 7.62 x 33 mm ammunition; 8 (eight) rounds of ammunition cal 7.62 x 45 mm; 17 (seventeen) rounds of cal 9 mm sharp ammunition; 8 (eight) rounds of blank ammunition cal 5.56.
As well as other evidence including 3 (three) long binoculars; 1 (one) short binoculars; 1 (one) day binoculars (two eyes) and 1 (one) necklace with pendant.
His party also said that currently the suspects YL and MM have been placed in Class IIB prison by the Jayawijaya District Attorney.
“Currently, the suspects YL and MM are being held at the Class II B Lapas in Wamena by the Jayawijaya State Prosecutor’s Office and have been detained by the Jayawijaya State Prosecutor’s Office,” he concluded.
