Dekai – After the shooting incident in Dekai District by the KKB which resulted in a member of the TNI Kodim 1715 Yahukimo on the first of March 2023, the TNI-POLRI in Yahukimo conducted intensive patrols, Saturday (4/3/2023)
This was disclosed by Yahukimo Police Chief AKBP Arief Kristanto, SH, SIK, M.Sc that the Police together with the TNI, day and night continue to carry out patrols to prevent security disturbances.
“After the incident that led to the death of a colleague from the TNI, we carried out intensive patrols,” said the Chief of Police.
Regarding the current situation in Yahukimo, he said he was safe.
“Until now, the security and safety system in Yahukimo, especially the Dekai District, is safe, people are carrying out their normal activities,”
Nevertheless, he still appealed to the public to be careful and vigilant in carrying out their daily activities.
At the end of his delivery, the Chief of Police is committed to improving security by alerting his members with the assistance of the TNI.
“The current situation is still safe and we and the TNI continue to carry out patrols and pursue the perpetrators of the shooting,” concluded AKBP Arief.
