Jayapura – Papua Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Mathius Faakhiri admitted that the condition of the New Zealand pilot, Philip Mark Merthens, was in good health.
“Currently, pilot Philip is still in the hands of the KKB led by Egianus Kogoya and is in good health,” Papua Police Chief Inspector General of Police Fakhiri told Jayapura, Wednesday.
Admittedly, currently his party is still prioritizing negotiations in order to avoid falling victims. “However, we can confirm that the condition of pilot Philip is in good condition even though he is still with the KKB group led by Egianus Kogoya,” explained the Inspector General of Police. End.
According to him, negotiations will still be carried out in order to avoid unwanted things because his party prioritizes the safety of not only the hostages but also the TNI-Polri members involved.
Regarding the team sent by the acting Regent of Nduga, the Papua Police Chief acknowledged that until now there had been no reports, especially from reports received by Egianus Kogoya and his hostages who had left the Nduga Regency area.
