PUNCAK JAYA, Central Papua – The Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 Sector Puncak Jaya continues to strengthen its presence among local communities through foot patrols that prioritize a humanitarian and community-oriented approach in Muara District, Puncak Jaya Regency, Central Papua, on Sunday (August 23, 2026).
The patrols, involving personnel from the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026, were not solely aimed at maintaining public security and order but also at strengthening communication and building closer relationships with local residents.
During the activity, personnel walked through several areas of Muara District while engaging directly with residents. The patrol was conducted in a relaxed and communicative atmosphere, with personnel taking time to speak with residents, distribute food, and assist them in harvesting chilies from their gardens.
A local resident, Yuni, expressed her appreciation for the presence of the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz personnel, saying that their interaction with the community provided a sense of security while creating a closer relationship between security personnel and residents.
«“We are happy to see the police officers come and talk with the community. They do not only conduct patrols but are also willing to help us in the garden. We feel closer to them and safer,” Yuni said.»
Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026, Inspector General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., said that community patrols were not merely focused on security but also served as an opportunity for personnel to directly listen to residents’ concerns and needs.
«“The presence of personnel among the community must provide a sense of security while also building trust. Therefore, our patrols are carried out with a humanitarian approach so that people can communicate openly with personnel in the field,” said the Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026.»
Meanwhile, Deputy Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., emphasized that a humanitarian approach remains an important part of the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026’s duties.
«“We want the community to see the presence of security personnel as part of a joint effort to maintain security and create a comfortable environment. Simple interactions such as talking with residents, helping with their daily activities, and sharing food are forms of care that can strengthen relations between personnel and the community,” said the Deputy Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026.»
Throughout the patrol, the security situation in Muara District remained safe and conducive. Community activities also continued normally, with no significant security disturbances reported.
The Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 will continue to prioritize preventive measures, community engagement, and a humanitarian approach to support a safe and conducive security environment across Papua.
