Tolikara (Karubaga), Papua Pegunungan – Efforts to maintain security stability in the Tolikara region continue to be carried out with a more humanistic approach and directly touching people’s lives. Through the Siaga III Squad, the Tolikara Police carried out a dialogic patrol led by the Head of IPTU Febri Yudha Asmara, S.H, together with a number of functional officials, Monday (4/27/2026).
The activity begins with a readiness apple that emphasizes the importance of a professional attitude wrapped in hospitality and empathy in duty. Personnel then moved along a number of strategic points, starting from Upper Ampera Street, Airport Street, Batu Grinding Road, to the Tugu Salib area, before returning to the Tolikara Police Headquarters.
Different from patrols in general, this activity prioritizes direct interaction with the community. Along the route, active personnel greet residents, have a light dialogue, and listen to various aspirations and complaints that are conveyed directly. The presence of the police also feels closer, not only as law enforcement officers, but also as a community partner.
A number of simple activities become an important part of this patrol, such as talking casually with residents on the side of the road, visiting small businesses, and interacting in community workshops. From the interaction, a more fluid and familiar atmosphere is created.
This persuasive approach is considered effective in building public trust and creating a sustainable sense of security. By removing the formality barrier, the relationship between the apparatus and the community is expected to be stronger, so that synergy is created in maintaining security and order in the Tolikara region.
Through this humanist patrol, the Tolikara Police emphasized its commitment to continue to be present as a protector, protector, and community servant, as well as to keep the kamtibmas situation safe and conducive in the midst of everyday community life.
