INTAN JAYA – In the midst of a routine area security patrol, a different atmosphere appeared in a resident’s garden in Sugapa District, Intan Jaya Regency, Tuesday (3/3/2026). The Personnel of the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force 2026 Intan Jaya Sector stopped for a moment, not because of an emergency situation, but to greet residents who were doing activities.
In the newly opened garden land, mothers and children of Papua welcomed the arrival of the officers with curiosity. Instead of keeping their distance, the personnel sat with the residents, talked casually, and distributed snacks to the children who looked enthusiastic.
Laughter broke out when the police officer made a light joke. The children who were shy at first began to approach, even chatting without feeling awkward. In the middle of the expanse of land and young plants, the atmosphere created feels warm and full of familiarity.
The activity was led directly by Dansektor Belukar AKP Syahril Arditya, S.Tr.K., S.I.K. In addition to establishing social communication, personnel also ensure that the paths around the garden are safe to support daily community activities.

In line with that, Deputy Head of Cartenz 2026 Peace Operations, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., assessed that simple interactions like this have a big impact on building trust.
“The presence of members in the community must bring a sense of security and comfort. Good communication and warm interaction will strengthen trust and cooperation in maintaining environmental security,” he said.
Through the moment of togetherness in the garden of the Sugapa residents, the officers hope that the relationship will be closer. In the midst of regional dynamics, the humanist approach becomes a bridge to grow a sense of security born from closeness and mutual trust between the apparatus and the community.
