Nduga – In an effort to maintain a safe and conducive public security and order situation, personnel of the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 (Ops Damai Cartenz) Sector Nduga conducted a foot patrol while engaging directly with residents around the Koteka Post, Nduga Regency, on Monday (March 2, 2026).
The patrol was carried out using a humanist and persuasive approach, with officers greeting children and holding direct dialogues with local residents. This initiative aims to build sympathy, strengthen emotional connections, and foster public trust in the Indonesian National Police (Polri), particularly in supporting the implementation of Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 in Nduga Regency.
In a separate statement, the Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026 (Kaops), Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that persuasive and humanist approaches are key strategies in maintaining security in the Papua Highlands region.
“Our personnel in the field are encouraged to prioritize a humanist approach through dialogical patrols and community visits. By building good communication, the presence of the Police can truly be felt as protectors, guardians, and public servants of the community,” said the Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026.
He added that foot patrols are considered effective in directly reaching the community, listening to residents’ aspirations, and mapping potential security disturbances at an early stage.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., stressed that security stability is not built solely through law enforcement, but also through sustainable social approaches grounded in public trust.
“Sustainable security is born from close relationships and intensive communication between officers and the community. Therefore, we emphasize that every personnel member in the field must be present in a humanist manner and directly listen to residents’ concerns regarding the security situation in their surroundings,” he stated.
He also called on all elements of the community in Nduga Regency to maintain unity and not be easily provoked by issues that could disrupt public security and order.
The Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 remains committed to maintaining a safe and conducive security situation in Nduga Regency through preventive and pre-emptive measures, while strengthening synergy with all components of the community.
