JAYAPURA – Regent of the Yapen Islands Benyamin Arisoy asked all district heads and village heads in his area to tighten supervision of the implementation of the National Strategic Program (PSN) so that it is really on target and gives a real impact to the community.
This was conveyed in Jayapura, Sunday (22/2), as a form of affirmation of the local government’s commitment in ensuring that every development program runs effectively to the village level.
“That’s why I ask the village head and district to stay in place, no one leaves the place of duty,” said Arisoy.
According to him, the role of district head and village head is not only administrative, but also includes moral and functional responsibility to directly monitor the real condition in the field. The supervision includes various basic service sectors, such as education, health, and other supporting infrastructure.
Arisoy emphasized that the presence of regional leaders at the task location greatly determines the success of the PSN implementation. With an active presence in the field, various obstacles can be immediately identified and solutions can be found before they have a wider impact on the community.
He also highlighted the importance of ensuring that schools run well, the availability and presence of educators are monitored, health facilities function optimally, and public services are maintained in quality.
“Central and regional government programs will not be optimal without direct supervision. District and village heads must ensure that everything runs according to planning and community needs,” he said.
The Yapen Islands Regency Government hopes that through consistent supervision and regional apparatus discipline, the implementation of PSN can truly be felt by the community and encourage the acceleration of equitable and sustainable development.
