The Chairman of the Jayapura City Interfaith Communication Forum (FKUB), Rev. Mathan Ayorbaba, M.Th., called on all communities to work together in creating Papua as a Land of Peace.
Following the series of re-voting (PSU) for the Governor and Deputy Governor, he urged everyone to move forward by maintaining Papua as a land of peace—without making statements that could trigger unrest or conflict.
“Instead, let us share messages that bring peace, harmony, and unity, so that in Papua we may live together in harmony and peace,” he said.
He emphasized the importance of avoiding divisive calls, not being easily swayed by misinformation, and responding wisely to situations around us so that we do not make misguided decisions.
“Let us pray that the outcome of the re-vote will bring blessings for all of us in the Land of Papua,” he concluded.
