Jayapura — The Papua Regional Police once again held the Affordable Food Movement as part of its commitment to supporting community needs, particularly for underprivileged residents. The program aims to ease the economic burden on households while maintaining price stability of basic necessities in the region.

During the event, Papua Police provided essential commodities such as rice, cooking oil, sugar, and other food items at affordable prices. The initiative drew strong enthusiasm, with residents flocking to the venue to purchase their daily needs at lower prices compared to market rates.

Director of Community Development (Dir Binmas) of Papua Police, Police Commissioner Erick Kadir Sully, S.I.K., stated that the program reflects the police’s commitment to being present not only in maintaining public security, but also in supporting the welfare of citizens and contributing to the Government’s vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.

“The police are not only tasked with maintaining public order but also with supporting community needs, particularly in food security. We hope this program helps ease the burden on Papuan families,” Commissioner Erick said.

Through this movement, Papua Police also called on the public to continue fostering unity, solidarity, and mutual care while together creating a safe and peaceful environment across Papua.
