Wamena – The Regency Government (Pemkab) of Lanny Jaya, Papua Pegunungan, expressed its commitment to succeed the national program of Free Nutritious Food (MBG) which will be implemented in the local area. This program is expected to contribute greatly in improving the health and nutrition of the young generation in the area.
The Regent of Lanny Jaya, Aletinus Yigibalom, in his statement on Tuesday (26/3), emphasized that MBG is a strategic step in an effort to overcome nutritional problems among children and teenagers, especially in the mountainous Papua region. He is optimistic that this program will bring a positive impact on the community, especially in supporting the growth and development of children with better nutritional intake.
“The MBG program is very good and important for the young generation in the Papua Mountains, especially in Lanny Jaya. We are ready to support and ensure that this program runs to the maximum, so that children get optimal benefits,” said Regent Aletinus.
Furthermore, he emphasized that in the implementation of this program, MBG kitchen management should be carried out by Lanny Jaya native entrepreneurs or those who have a good understanding of the regional characteristics. This aims so that the implementation of the program can be adjusted to local conditions and needs, as well as providing an economic impact on the local community.
“We hope that the management of the MBG kitchen can involve local entrepreneurs who already know this area well. Thus, this program not only improves children’s nutrition, but also encourages the local community’s economy,” he added.
The Lanny Jaya Regency Government is optimistic that with the synergy between the government and the community, the Free Nutritious Meal program will be an effective solution in improving the quality of health and well-being of the next generation of the Papua Mountains. This program is expected to run sustainably and provide long-term benefits to the community in the region.
