Papua – Papuan community leader, Yonas Alfons Nusy, appealed to all Papuan people to support government programs that are currently running and have been implemented in Papua. The appeal was delivered on Sunday, February 23, 2025.
According to Yonas Nusy, if there is a government policy or program that is felt inappropriate, the public is expected to convey it through the right path.
“If there are things that disturb the state’s program or policy, let’s convey it respectfully to the government through authorized institutions and in accordance with good and correct mechanisms,” he said.
In addition, he also invited the public to maintain public security and order (kamtibmas) in their respective areas.
“If our environment is safe, then the development will run well,” he added.
As a public figure, Yonas Nusy also expressed his support for the steps of the National Police through the Cartenz Peace Operations Task Force in enforcing the law against armed criminal groups (KKB) in Papua.
“The duties and responsibilities of Ops Damai Cartenz are in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations. With this effort, areas that are still experiencing disturbances from the KKB group can be secured. This is a form of government attention in bringing peace to Papua,” he said.
He also invited the public to pray together so that the Cartenz 2025 Peace Ops Task Force can carry out its duties well and receive protection from the Almighty God.
