Timika- The Amungme Tribe Traditional Deliberation Institution (Lemasa) invites the people of Mimika Regency to work together to maintain security and carry out transactions ahead of the 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada).
Lemasa Director, Tsingal Jhon Beanal, appealed to the public to actively participate in maintaining calm during the election process. He asked the public not to spread hoax news and avoid the practice of bringing down potential partners.
“The public is asked to vote on November 27 according to their conscience, so that the regional elections will be safe and peaceful for this area,” he stressed.
Tsingal also appreciated the organizers for selecting three candidate pairs (Paslon) who will run in the election for Mimika regent and deputy regent. He considered that the three candidate pairs were the best figures this area had.
Joel looks at the figure who has carried out high conservation efforts for Mimika, while candidate pair number two, MP3, through the Somatua Foundation, has made a significant contribution by opening up employment opportunities for regional children.
On the other hand, Aiye, who is the eldest son of former Mimika Regent Eltinus Omaleng, is considered to have a good track record in infrastructure development during his two terms of leadership. His partner, Yusuf Rombe, is known as a large contractor who has also contributed to regional infrastructure development.
By looking at the track record of this third candidate pair, Lemasa hopes that the community can make wise choices for the future progress of Mimika Regency.
