Mimika- The National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) held a meeting with the Cartenz-2024 Peace Operations Task Force, on Thursday 2 May 2024 at the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Command Post, Mako Yon B Pelopor Mimika Jalan. Agimuga-Karang Senang, Kuala Kencana District, Mimika Regency, Central Papua Province.
During the meeting, the Commissioner of the Indonesian National Human Rights Commission, Dr. Uli Parulian Sihombing, S.H., M.H. expressed his gratitude to Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops for their time and attention in receiving a team from Komnas HAM to coordinate regarding events in Papua, especially in Intan Jaya Regency, “We really appreciate the activities of Cartenz Peace Operations in enforcing the law by upholding human rights,” Uli explained
Komnas HAM (National Human Rights Commission) appreciates the performance of the Cartenz 2024 Peace Operation Task Force. This Task Force has shown extraordinary dedication and commitment in maintaining peace and security in the Papua region.
In carrying out its duties, the Cartenz 2024 Peace Operations Task Force has succeeded in overcoming various challenges and facing complex situations with high professionalism. They have worked hard to ensure that the human rights of all citizens are well maintained.
Komnas HAM highly appreciates the Task Force’s efforts to protect people’s rights, including the rights to freedom, security and prosperity. This task force has played an important role in maintaining order and justice in the Cartenz area, so that people can live in a safe and peaceful atmosphere.
Komnas HAM’s appreciation also goes to all members of the Cartenz 2024 Peace Operation Task Force, who have worked hard and are dedicated to protecting human rights. Their enthusiasm in carrying out their duties with full integrity and responsibility deserves thumbs up.
Komnas HAM hopes that the performance of the Cartenz 2024 Peace Operation Task Force will continue to be improved and become an example for other task forces in safeguarding and protecting human rights throughout Indonesia. Hopefully their hard work and dedication can have a sustainable positive impact on the Cartenz community and Indonesia as a whole.
Meanwhile, Kaops Peace Cartenz-2024, Police Commissioner Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos, S.I.K., M.H. also added that the Cartenz Peace Task Force had built good communication and relationships with the community, both social relationships and deliberations with Papuan community leaders, one of which was in Intan Jaya and their hope was that there would be additional security posts to protect the community from KKB disturbances. “We continue to approach the community and community leaders by holding discussions to add security posts in the area,” explained Faizal.
Head of the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Public Relations Task Force, AKBP Dr. Bayu Suseno, when confirmed, also said that during the meeting, Komnas HAM expressed its thanks to the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Task Force for handling cases related to the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Papua by upholding human rights. “In its visit, Komnas HAM provided support and positive input for the Cartenz 2024 Peace Operation Task Force, this is a motivation for us to always provide the best in creating a sense of security for the people throughout Papua,” concluded Bayu.
