Puncak Jaya – Personnel of the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 assigned to the Puncak Jaya Sector conducted a foot patrol in Puncak Jaya Regency on Saturday (July 25, 2026). In addition to monitoring the security situation, the patrol served as an opportunity to engage directly with local residents and listen to their concerns during their daily activities.
The patrol was led by Puncak Jaya Sector Commander Police Inspector I Putu Wardana, S.H. Throughout the activity, personnel greeted residents and gathered information regarding local conditions and the public security and order situation. The open dialogue allowed community members to share their perspectives, concerns, and aspirations in a relaxed atmosphere.
During the patrol, personnel also spent time interacting with children returning home from school. Friendly greetings and simple games created a warm atmosphere, with the children enthusiastically welcoming the officers’ presence.
By the conclusion of the activity, the security and public order situation remained stable and conducive. Residents continued their daily routines, including trading, attending school, and carrying out other community activities without disruption.
Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026, Inspector General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., said that foot patrols are not only intended to maintain security but also to strengthen direct communication between security personnel and the community.
“Through direct interaction, our personnel are able to hear firsthand information and input from residents regarding conditions in their neighborhoods. This kind of communication is an important part of maintaining a safe and conducive public security environment,” he said.
Meanwhile, Deputy Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., emphasized that a dialogue-based approach remains a key element in carrying out the operation’s mission to maintain strong relations with the community.
“The presence of our personnel within the community is not solely focused on security. It is also about creating opportunities for constructive communication with residents. Through dialogue, people can share information and provide valuable input regarding the situation in their neighborhoods,” he said.
One local resident, Markus Wenda, welcomed the initiative, saying the direct interaction gave residents an opportunity to communicate openly with security personnel.
“We are happy because the personnel did not just conduct patrols—they also took the time to greet and talk with residents. The children were especially excited to interact with them. We hope activities like this will continue,” Markus said.
The foot patrol reflects the continued commitment of the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 to maintaining a secure environment while strengthening communication and trust with local communities through direct engagement in the field.
