Jayapura – The Jayapura Regency Government (Pemkab) in Papua is building a road connecting Yongsu Sapari and Yongsu Desoyo Villages to improve transportation connectivity in the area.
Jayapura Regent Yunus Wonda stated in Sentani on Thursday that the construction of the road connecting the two villages is one of the local government’s priority programs this year.
“The road access will be constructed immediately so that it not only improves connectivity but also reduces logistics costs and encourages economic growth,” he said.
According to Wonda, improving road infrastructure is crucial not only for smoother public mobility but also for encouraging growth in the tourism sector.
“We invite the entire local community to play an active role in supporting and overseeing the road construction process,” he said.
He explained that he hopes for good cooperation between the government and the community to ensure the smooth completion of the road construction.
“We are optimistic that the improved road infrastructure will improve the welfare of the people in these two villages,” he added.
He added that the construction of this road section was also an effort by the government to encourage equitable development in Jayapura Regency.
