SUGAPA – A warm atmosphere was evident as personnel from the Cartenz 2026 Peace Operation Task Force traveled through Sugapa District, Intan Jaya Regency, Central Papua, on Saturday (March 14, 2026). During their security patrols, the personnel stopped at several residential areas, greeted residents, and engaged in casual conversation with those going about their activities.
The patrols focused not only on monitoring the security situation. Personnel also took the time to engage in direct dialogue with residents, listening to their stories about their daily lives, and inquiring about the condition of their surroundings. Several residents warmly welcomed the officers, and even children approached curiously as the officers passed through their village.
These simple interactions created a friendly atmosphere within the community. The smiles and warm greetings from residents demonstrated that the officers were not merely security guards but also friends present in the lives of the Papuan people.
The Head of the Cartenz 2026 Peace Operation, Brigadier General Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., stated that the dialogue patrols are a preventative measure that is continuously carried out to maintain security stability and strengthen relations between the authorities and the community.
“These dialogue patrols are a preventative measure to ensure the security situation remains conducive. We also prioritize a humanistic approach by establishing good communication with the community, so that the presence of the authorities truly provides a sense of security and comfort,” said the Head of the Cartenz 2026 Peace Operation.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Head of the Cartenz 2026 Peace Operation, Senior Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., urged the community to work together to maintain environmental security and not be easily influenced by unverified information.
“We hope the community will continue to maintain togetherness and support each other in maintaining environmental security. If there is anything that could potentially disrupt security, please report it immediately to the authorities so it can be handled quickly,” said the Deputy Chief of the Cartensz 2026 Peace Operation.
Through these warm, dialogical patrols, the Cartensz 2026 Peace Operation Task Force hopes that the presence of officers among the community will not only provide a sense of security but also build closeness and trust, which are essential foundations for creating a peaceful and conducive situation in Intan Jaya Regency.
