Yahukimo – The Cartenz 2026 Peace Operation Task Force moved three suspected armed criminal groups (KKB) from the Yahukimo region to Jayapura on Monday, February 23, 2026, to undergo further legal proceedings at the Papua Regional Police. The three of them are wanted lists (DPO) and are known as figures in the KKB network that has been operating in the region.
The three suspects are Homi Heluka, Enage Hiluka, and Kotor Payage alias Kotoran Giban. Previously, they were secured in Yahukimo and then sent to Jayapura with security considerations, closely escorted by Cartenz 2026 Peace Operation Task Force personnel to anticipate all forms of interference during the relocation process.
Head of Public Relations Operation Damai Cartenz 2026, Kombes Pol. Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., explained that the three suspects are strongly suspected of being involved in various criminal acts, ranging from arson, vandalism, severe persecution to murder.
“Today we have sent three suspects from Yahukimo to Jayapura. They are DPOs and armed criminal group figures in the Yahukimo region. The delivery was carried out for security reasons for further legal proceedings at the Papua Regional Police,” said Yusuf (23/2/26).
He detailed, Homi Heluka was involved in the shooting of Brimob members in 2022, the burning of the Satbinmas car in January 2025, the murder of the pedders on April 7, 2025, the shooting of Kodim 1715 Yahukimo members in June 2025, the persecution and murder of workers in June 2025, the burning of the car in January 2026, the murder of Daniel Dati and the destruction of the Yapesli High School on February 2, 2026, and the shooting of Suwono in February 2026.
Meanwhile, Enage Hiluka is suspected of being involved in the stabbing of Ester Karbeka, a betel nut seller, on February 17, 2026 and the murder of Indra Guru Wardana in September 2025. As for Kotor Payage alias Kotor Giban is suspected to be involved in the attempted murder and shooting of Suwono on February 12, 2026.
The transfer process was carried out through Sentani Airport, Jayapura, around 14.00 WIT with a strict escort of the joint task force. Upon arrival in Jayapura, the three suspects underwent a medical examination at Bhayangkara TK Hospital. “The deepening will be carried out comprehensively to ensure that all roles and involvements of each suspect are clearly revealed. We will also develop an investigation if other parties are found to be involved,” he said.
Until the implementation of transfer and health check-up, the entire series of activities take place safely and under control. The Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force 2026 emphasized its commitment to continue to take firm action against every act of armed violence in order to maintain the security and order of the community in Papua.
