Lanny Jaya — The Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force, in collaboration with the Lanny Jaya Police, successfully apprehended a member of the Puncak Armed Criminal Group (KKB) identified as Dugi Telenggen, also known as Dugwi Kogoya, in Ulume Village, Lanny Jaya Regency, on Monday (October 27, 2025).
During questioning, Dugi Telenggen confessed to his involvement in the shooting of Brigadier Police Officer Joan H. Sibarani of the Lanny Jaya Police, who was killed in an incident that occurred in Tiom District, Lanny Jaya, on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. The suspect also admitted to shooting a civilian, identified as Adi Yohanes Abilio Fallo, during the same attack.
The arrest was made after the Cartenz Peace Operation team, together with Lanny Jaya Police personnel, responded to a community altercation in Ninam Village. While engaging with the crowd in Ulume Village, officers noticed an individual holding a mobile phone believed to belong to Dugi Telenggen. Following further investigation, the team successfully apprehended the suspect.
Items confiscated during the arrest included one Nokia mobile phone, a notebook, two photocopies of ID cards, one personal identification card, and two small black noken bags.
The Head of Cartenz Peace Operation, Police Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., expressed his appreciation to all personnel involved in the operation.
“This arrest is the result of strong collaboration and coordination between the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force and the Lanny Jaya Police. It reflects our continued commitment to take firm action against every armed criminal who threatens the safety of civilians and police officers in Papua,” he stated.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Head of Cartenz Peace Operation, Police Commissioner Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., emphasized that this success demonstrates the seriousness of law enforcement officers in maintaining security and upholding justice in the Papua region.
“We will continue pursuing other members of the KKB network. Our main goal is to ensure Papua remains safe and peaceful,” he said.
With the arrest of Dugi Telenggen, the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force hopes the security situation in Lanny Jaya and surrounding areas will become more stable and help disrupt the chain of armed violence in Papua.
