Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025, Yahukimo Police, Brimob, and TNI Successfully Evacuated Survivors and Victims of KKB Attack in Seradala

Yahukimo, Highland Papua — The joint forces of Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025, Brimob of Papua Regional Police, Yahukimo District Police, and Kodim 1715 Yahukimo carried out a successful evacuation mission following the violent assault by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) under the command of Kopitua Heluka, operating within Kodap XVI Yahukimo.
During the latest operation on Wednesday night (October 1, 2025) at approximately 22:30 WIT, the joint team managed to rescue one survivor and recover several bodies of mining workers who fell victim to the KKB’s brutal actions in Seradala District, Yahukimo Regency.
The survivor, identified as Yohanes Bouk alias Nando (22), a mining worker, was found alive though suffering from mixed malaria after surviving for five days in the jungle by hiding in a hole without food or water. He was immediately transported to Dekai Regional Hospital (RSUD Dekai) for intensive medical treatment.
In addition, three deceased victims were successfully evacuated:
Marselino Lumare (32), mining worker from Sanger, resident of Dekai, Yahukimo.
Yunus Agama (29), mining worker from Maluku, resident of Dekai, Yahukimo.
Roberto Agama (37), mining worker from Sanger, resident of Dekai, Yahukimo.
All three bodies arrived at RSUD Dekai at 02:30 WIT on Thursday (October 2, 2025).
Furthermore, two additional victims who had been reported dead at Camp Excavator Kali I, Seradala District, were also evacuated:
Andika Pratama, mining worker from Sanger, resident of Jalan Paradiso, Dekai.
Fikram Amiman, mining worker from Sanger, resident of Jalan Paradiso, Dekai.
With this mission, a total of 7 fatalities and 5 survivors have been successfully evacuated by Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025.

Andika – evacuated on October 2, 2025, Camp Excavator Kali I.
Fikram – evacuated on October 2, 2025, Camp Excavator Kali I.

Bakri Laode – evacuated on September 27, 2025, Kali Kabur.
Febri alias Basir – evacuated on September 27, 2025, Kali Kabur.
Tarik Baruba alias Taslim – evacuated on September 27, 2025, Kali Kabur.
Berti Oliver Dias – evacuated on September 27, 2025, Kali Kabur.
Yohanes Bouk alias Nando – evacuated on October 1, 2025, Helypad 25, Kali I.
The Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2025, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., affirmed that law enforcement would continue to pursue and act firmly against the perpetrators.
“There will be no safe haven for the KKB. We will hunt down and arrest those responsible, and enforce the law in a measured, professional manner. Ensuring security stability in Yahukimo remains our top priority,” stated Brigadier General Faizal.
Meanwhile, Deputy Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2025, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., urged the public to remain calm.
“We understand this incident has caused concern, but I assure everyone that security forces are always present to protect the people. Operation Peace Cartenz is fully committed to safeguarding every citizen of Papua,” said Chief Commissioner Adarma.
As a follow-up, Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 continues to strengthen coordination with Yahukimo Police, TNI, and Dekai Regional Hospital to ensure effective victim handling and sustainable law enforcement operations.
