Jayawijaya, Papua Pegunungan — Operation Peace Cartenz continues to demonstrate its commitment to community outreach. Recently, personnel from the task force visited Walesi Village in Jayawijaya Regency, conducting a joint patrol and humanitarian activities that directly touched the lives of local residents.
Led by First Inspector Muhammad Krisna Dirgantara, the patrol was not limited to monitoring security conditions. The officers actively engaged with the community, especially children, fostering a sense of warmth and solidarity. This human-centered approach reflects the strategic efforts of Operation Peace Cartenz to instill a sense of safety and strengthen emotional ties with the local population.
As part of the outreach, the task force also provided free healthcare services to residents. The initiative was met with enthusiasm, underscoring how the presence of state personnel is not only seen as a security force but also as a partner in improving community welfare.
Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., Head of Operation Peace Cartenz, accompanied by Deputy Head Kombes Pol. Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., stated that the direct involvement of police personnel in local life reflects a grounded and humanistic state presence.
“Security stability cannot be achieved without a harmonious relationship between law enforcement and the public. That’s why we are here not only as protectors but also as friends of the people—through a persuasive and empathetic approach,” said Brig. Gen. Faizal.
Meanwhile, Chief of Public Relations for Operation Peace Cartenz, Kombes Pol. Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., emphasized that public trust is the cornerstone of lasting peace.
“Providing services that directly address people’s needs is our way of nurturing trust. When communities feel genuinely cared for, a sense of security will naturally follow,” he explained.
