During the Command Post Exercise, the heads of each task force presented their performance reports and coordination strategies for operations across 11 designated areas. The exercise aims to strengthen coordination and readiness among personnel in maintaining security and public order in Papua, Highlands Papua, and Central Papua.
In his opening remarks, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani emphasized the Indonesian National Police’s (Polri) primary duty as stipulated in Law No. 2 of 2002: to maintain security and public order, enforce the law, and protect the community.
He also highlighted the increasing complexity of security challenges in the face of globalization, technological advancements, and the rapid flow of information.
“The security challenges in several districts within the jurisdiction of Papua and Central Papua Regional Police are escalating due to disruptions caused by armed criminal groups and political criminal groups along with their sympathizers. We must remain vigilant in upholding the sovereignty and unity of the Republic of Indonesia,” stated Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani.
He further stressed the importance of enhancing the knowledge, skills, and experience of all participants in the Command Post Exercise to better equip them for their assignments.
Additionally, he underscored the critical need for collaboration and coordination among task forces in responding to dynamic situations on the ground.
The presence of Operation Peace Cartenz-2025 personnel in the field must foster a sense of security, peace, and stability within the community through a humane approach that respects individual rights and dignity.
Furthermore, sector commanders are urged to maintain strong synergy with local governments, community leaders, and the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) to ensure regional stability.
Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani also cited an inspirational message from Reverend I.S. Kijne: “Whoever works on this land with loyalty, honesty, and obedience will move from one wonder to another.”
With the execution of this Command Post Exercise, all personnel of Operation Peace Cartenz-2025 are expected to be better prepared to carry out their duties professionally and respond effectively to potential security threats in Papua, Highlands Papua, and Central Papua.
