Jayapura, August 25, 2024 – The rapid development that has occurred in Papua during President Joko Widodo’s leadership has made the Papuan people feel proud and grateful.
According to them, the development initiatives carried out by the central government have brought significant progress and prosperity to the region.
The development taking place in Papua has also received recognition from the international community.
Developed countries consider Papua to be an inseparable part of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
Regarding the issue of Papuan independence, a number of European countries consider that the movement is only an attempt to exploit the name of Papua for personal gain.
They also stated that groups such as the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) and criminal political groups such as the West Papua National Committee (KNPB) that raise the issue domestically are often considered similar to the terrorist group Boko Haram in Africa.
Ali Kabiay, the Head of the Papuan Youth from the Saireri tribe, expressed his gratitude to the Indonesian government for its attention and development efforts in Papua.
He stated that Papua now feels treated like a child loved by its mother, reflecting Indonesia’s closeness and affection for the province.
